  1. Open Google Wallet and tap “Add to Wallet”
  2. Tap “Payment card” and then “New credit or debit card”
  3. You can then use the camera to recognize the details of the Pluxee Meal Card or Sodexo Meal Pass or enter them manually
  4. Tap “Save”, read the terms and tap “Accept”
  5. If you are asked to validate your payment method, choose an option from the list
  6. Choose the validation method (SMS or email) and enter the activation code you received.

 

 

*After adding your Sodexo Meal Pass card to Google Wallet, you will see it with the image of the Pluxee Meal Card, but don't worry!

Confirm that the last 4 digits are the same as those on your card, and you can now start using it to make payments.

FAQs
Will the contract governing my relationship with Sodexo undergo changes? Is it necessary to sign a new one?

No need to sign a new contract, as the commercial conditions will remain unchanged.

Will the Sodexo cards be replaced?
No, the current cards will not be replaced. Starting from January 2024, new Pluxee Meal Cards will be issued only for new issuances and/or replacements.
Will my employees still be able to use the Sodexo Meal Pass card?
Yes, your employees will still be able to use the Sodexo Meal Pass card as usual.
Will there be a new app?
Yes, to enjoy the new Pluxee Portugal app, employees will only need to update the current app. After the update, the app will have a new name and a new look: App Pluxee Portugal.
Will employees be informed about the new app?

Yes, employees who are registered in the current app will be informed about this update via the app.

In the current app, they will receive an update message that will automatically redirect them to their app store. Starting from March 1, if they have not yet updated the app, they should access their store and download the Pluxee Portugal App.

Are the access credentials for the platforms the same?
Yes. Your access credentials for the Client Portal Pluxee remain unchanged. You can continue to log in with your current email and password. The same applies to your employees and their access to the Pluxee Portugal App and the Consumer Portal Pluxee.
Will the phone contacts remain the same?
Yes. You can continue to use our usual phone numbers.
Will the email contacts and the domain of the address remain the same?

No, the domain emails will be changed to @pluxeegroup.com.

Will the Sodexo cards be replaced?

No, the Sodexo cards will not be replaced. Starting from January 2024, new Pluxee Meal Cards will be issued only for new issuances and/or replacements.

Until when can I use my Sodexo Meal Pass card?

The Sodexo Meal Pass card can continue to be used normally.

Will there be a new app?

Yes, to access it, simply update the current app. When the new app is available, log in to the Sodexo PT app, and you will be redirected to your phone's store. After the update, the app will have a new name and a new look: App Pluxee Portugal.

Will I be informed about the update of the new app?

Yes, if you are registered in the current app, you will be informed about this update via the app.

You will receive an update message in the current app that automatically directs you to your app store. Starting from March 1, if the app has not been updated yet, you should access the store and download the Pluxee Portugal App.

 

Will I be able to integrate the new Pluxee Meal Card with MB WAY?

The Pluxee Meal Card is optimized for digital wallets. It's not compatible with MB Way but can be added to Google Wallet for fast, secure payments with Google Pay. Soon it will also be able to add your card to Apple Wallet.

Is it possible to change the PIN of the new Pluxee Meal Card?

The PIN of the new Pluxee Meal Card cannot be changed, but it can be checked at any time through the Pluxee Portugal App or the Consumer Support Line.

O que são cartões contactless?

Os cartões contactless são cartões de pagamento com tecnologia de leitura por aproximação Near Field Communication (NFC). Estes cartões permitem fazer pagamentos sem ter de introduzir o PIN: para o efeito, basta aproximar o cartão (normalmente, a menos de 4 centímetros de distância) de um terminal de pagamento automático (TPA) preparado para receber pagamentos contactless.

Quando é ativada a tecnologia contactless?
A tecnologia de leitura por aproximação NFC (contactless) é ativada assim que utilizar, pela primeira vez, o cartão contactless num caixa automático ou assim que realizar um pagamento em TPA no qual insira o PIN associado ao cartão.
É seguro fazer pagamentos contactless?
A tecnologia contactless oferece segurança ao titular do cartão e proteção contra tentativas de fraude, uma vez que lhe permite fazer pagamentos sem que o cartão saia da sua mão e sem que tenha de inserir o seu código pessoal em público.
Will I be able to use the contactless feature in my first transaction with the new Pluxee Meal Card?

No. The first transaction requires inserting the card into the payment terminal and using the PIN. After that, the contactless feature becomes active and ready to use.

What are the rules for the contactless functionality?

After activating this feature, you can use it if the transaction amount is less than or equal to 50 euros, if the number of consecutive contactless transactions is equal to or less than 5 transactions, and/or if the total amount of consecutive contactless transactions is equal to or less than 150 euros.

E se atingir o limite de pagamentos consecutivos sem introduzir o PIN?

Sempre que atingir o limite de pagamentos consecutivos sem inserir o PIN, terá de fazer uma transação com PIN antes de poder voltar a fazer operações sem ter de introduzir o código secreto.

Se atingir o limite de transações consecutivas sem introduzir o PIN (geralmente, 150 euros, ou 5 transações), só poderá voltar a fazer uma nova transação deste tipo depois de efetuar uma operação, em TPA ou em caixa automático, na qual insira o PIN do cartão em causa.

Poderei ter de inserir o PIN mesmo que a transação cumpra os limites definidos?

Ocasionalmente, pode ser-lhe solicitado que insira o PIN do cartão numa transação feita num TPA contactless, ainda que a transação respeite os limites máximos definidos. Não fique surpreendido se isso lhe acontecer: trata-se apenas de uma medida de segurança adicional aplicável a este tipo de transações.

Os cartões contactless podem ser usados em TPAs sem tecnologia contactless?

Os cartões com a tecnologia contactless também podem ser utilizados para realizar pagamentos sem recurso a esta tecnologia, incluindo em TPA que não estão preparados para processar pagamentos contactless. Para o efeito, terá de introduzir o cartão no TPA e, para validar a operação, terá de inserir o PIN do cartão.

Is it possible to use the new Pluxee Meal Card for online purchases of meals and food items?

Yes. The new Pluxee Meal Card is also accepted as a payment option for online purchases and on meal delivery and food platforms.

Are the access credentials to the platforms the same?

Yes. Your access credentials for our platforms (Consumer Portal Pluxee and Pluxee Portugal App) remain the same. You can continue to log in with your current email and password.

No. All POS terminals that are part of the Visa network are compatible with the new Pluxee Meal Cards.

Will invoices be changed?

Only the appearance of the invoices changes. The content is the same. Every month we send an invoice with details of the transactions carried out. You can also consult them, at any time, on the Merchant Portal Pluxee.

Are the access details to the Merchant Portal Pluxee the same?

Yes, your access data to the Merchant Portal Pluxee does not change. You can continue to access with your current email and password.

I do not have access to the Merchant Portal Pluxee. What should I do?

If you still do not have access to the Pluxee Partner Portal, contact us at 808 911 267 (local call cost) or email rede.parceiros@pluxeegroup.com.

Can I continue to accept Sodexo branded cards?

Yes, consumers will keep their Sodexo cards, which will continue to work normally, meaning they will be able to accept both as a means of payment.

Will there be new cards?

Yes. From the beginning of 2024, new Pluxee consumers will be issued Pluxee Meal Cards with the new image. This card will have the same features as the Sodexo card.

Are the contacts I have maintained?

Telephone contacts remain unchanged. The domain emails are now @pluxeegroup.com.
